Pack of 5 PTA/JUA Iron Ore Tippler Wagons British Steel Grey/Orange (Inner)
Expected Delivery Summer 2026 (Subject to Change at Manufacturer's Discretion).
Redpath-Dorman-Long built PTA box wagons for iron ore traffic in the 1970s. With the decline of iron ore traffic in the early 1980s some of the wagons were purchased by leasing companies for use in limestone aggregate traffic. Foster Yeoman and ARC used fleets of these box wagons for aggregate traffic from the Somerset quarries. The PTAs were built as a mix of outer wagons with rotary couplings and fixed couplings and inners. In the early-mid 2000s VTG acquired the ex-Procor/CAIB fleet and repainted some of the JUAs into VTG grey. The VTG grey JUAs frequently ran with a mixture of faded Yeoman livery PTA/JUAs.
Wagon numbers: BSRV26713; BSRV26760; BSRV26762; BSRV26691 and BSRV26765.
